Friends for Life
What is Friends For Life?
Taken from the Friends for Life website:
For 13 years, Friends for Life has served the community...We are committed to serving women in word and deed [by] empowering them to make life choices for themselves and their families. Simply, FFL Medical serves as support for individuals and couples who find themselves in pregnancy situations. Friends For Life is a non-profit organization ministering to women and children. All of our services are free and confidential.
How can I help?
If you are interested in volunteering one day every two weeks for a total of about 8 to 10 hours a month you can become a lay counselor and work with pregnant women who come into Friends for Life for guidance. This does require a training that is provided through Friends for Life. Friends for Life also needs help with updating and maintaining their maternity clothes in their Care Closet (this usually is needed two to three times a year especially around the changing of the seasons). There is also occasional yard work that is needed. If you are interested in volunteering at Friends for Life contact Angela.
