Fellowship’s International Student Ministry Mission Statement
To locally reach out and love on International Students by building relationships with them where they become so dear to us that in turn we share what’s most dear to us, the gospel, in order to equip them to bring the gospel back to their own country (1 Thess. 2:8).
Goal of Fellowship’s International Student Ministry
To practically show God’s love and share the gospel with International Students studying at Harding University.
Ways to participate
This ministry is in the grassroots stages at Fellowship. We have a huge desire to love on and reach out to International students studying at Harding however our biggest roadblock has simply been in meeting International Students. If you are a Harding student, one of the biggest ways to be a part of this ministry would be by connecting us to International students that you know. We in turn can connect these students to families and individuals that would like to become Friendship partners.
Sign up to be a friendship partner with an international student. This might look like inviting your new friend to dinner every other week, taking your new friend to Walmart when you go to get groceries, showing your friend new places in Arkansas or in the US, or simply making time to hang out with your new friend. This also might mean inviting them to come to church with you, offering to study the Bible together, and sharing Christ with your new friend. If you are interested in becoming a Friendship Partner, please contact Shannon to let her know of your interest!
-If you are an international student please sign up to be connected with a family or college student by contacting Shannon and letting her know of your interest! -In the past we had a small group of mom’s that would meet every Wednesday at the Harding track to go on a prayer walk, where they would intentionally pray for the International Students studying at Harding. This group has since been on hold as most of those in the group are no longer able to participate. If you are interested in starting up a prayer group to pray for God to be at work in the lives of Internationals studying at Harding, please contact Shannon to let her know of your interest!
